Transition Curriculum

ONEder’s Transition Curriculum is designed for students with mild to moderate disabilities, to help them prepare for life after high school.

Transition   |   Grade 7-12

Overview

Studies show that today’s workers lack the interpersonal skills they need to succeed in their careers. As educators, we do our best to prepare students with IEPs for post-high school success, but most transition content is outdated and doesn't focus on the skills they require to succeed in a technology-focused world.

Our Transition Curriculum is designed for students ages 14 and up, who have Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and who will be making the transition to life after high school. Course content was written at a fifth-grade level (Lexile level around 700), and is designed to be used as a foundation that educators can easily differentiate using the suggestions provided in the Teacher Guide.

User Experience & Usability

Every student’s path is different, and they should have the tools they need to map their unique journey to a successful post-school life. Teachers, as guides on that journey, should have the same. ONEder Academy provides just that: a distinct experience and set of tools for both teacher and student.

ONEder’s Transition Curriculum provides diverse, engaging activities in the “high skill” areas essential to the workplace, along with a range of accommodations that empowers students with the confidence they need for a successful transition.
